The Golden Child Project is indeed a remarkable initiative that brings hope, joy, and support to terminally-ill children and their families. The collaborative effort between Rotary Clubs: RC Tampin and RC Hong Kong Island West, the three major Government hospitals in Klang Valley, and A’Famosa Resort demonstrates the power of community in making a positive impact.

The annual event provides these children with unforgettable experiences, allowing them to bond, have fun, learn, and enjoy their favourite activities and food. The setting of beautiful bungalows with swimming pools ensures a comfortable and enjoyable stay for the children and their families. The presence of dedicated nurses who travel with the children ensures their safety and well-being throughout the event. It’s heartening to see Rotarians and Rotaractors; RACPJ and RATLC, coming together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children during their stay.

The programme for this year’s event, scheduled from April 19th to 21st at A’Famosa Resort in Melaka, promises a variety of activities aimed at engaging the children and showcasing their talents. From painting session to safari and musical showcase, the event offers opportunities for the children to express themselves and create lasting memories.

The Golden Child Project stands as a shining example of Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya’s commitment to community service and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. It’s a testament to the power of compassion, collaboration, and dedication in creating moments of joy and support for terminally-ill children and their families.
