empowering single mothers the way to a new life!
A social enterprise by the Rotary Club of PJ, the Super Mum project is a collaboration between PPB Group Berhad and Food Aid Foundation to empower single mothers with baking skills to bake and sell their products to earn a living.
The PPB increase the project’s impact and expand its reach by contributing baking equipment and renovation costs to set up a baking studio at the Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya premises in Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya, as well as transport allowances to each trainee to complete the training programme. Bringing the knowledge and sharing the talent is a chef lecturer hired by Food Aid Foundation to equip the single mothers with knowledge as entrepreneurs to bake and sell in a 10-week training programme that comprises 10 modules on baking cakes, cookies, pastries, bread, and buns. Upon completion of training, the single mothers are encouraged to bake to sell whilst RCPJ assists in marketing their products.
