The Tan Sri Dato' James Peter Chin Award, initiated by the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya in Rotary Year 2002/2003, is named after our late Past Rotary International Director.
It shall be presented to any person making a contribution of RM10,000 and above to the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya Charity Foundation.
The money contributed shall be used to support the various community service projects of the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya. The donor may designate the project money shall be used for.
The first recipient of the Tan Sri Dato' James Peter Chin Award is Rotarian H.S. Dharan of the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya. He has designated his contribution for the School Nutrition Program.
The Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya shall maintain a list of contributors in its official publication.
The donor shall be presented with a plaque in recognition of his donation. The plaque shall be presented at the annual Installation Dinner of the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya by Puan Sri Datin Mei Chin. In her absence the presentation shall be made by the Guest of Honour of the event.
